Daniel Hungerford
Principal
My career as an educator started at Youngstown State University where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education. I moved to Las Vegas in 1999 and taught elementary school for several years. I then received a Master’s Degree from the University of Phoenix in the area of Supervision and Administration. In 2004, I moved from the classroom to administration. I worked as an assistant principal for several years before being appointed to Givens Elementary as the Principal in 2013. It is an honor and privilege to work at Givens Elementary, I simply love this place. When I am not here at Givens, I enjoy spending time with my wife and three kids. I am proud to say that my wife is also an educator in the Clark County School District and all three of my children attended Givens Elementary School.

Assistant Principal
It’s an honor to work at Givens Elementary School. The foundation of success built by this community and its stakeholders is one I look forward to complementing with hard work, communication, and collaboration amongst us all. I was born and raised in Las Vegas and attended Clark County School District schools from kindergarten through high school. I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Children’s Public Health from the University of Hawaii, a Master’s Degree in Special Education from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from the University of Phoenix. Prior to being assigned to Givens, I worked as an elementary teacher, a middle school teacher, and an assistant principal at various CCSD schools. I have been with the Clark County School District since 2000. I’m a proud mother of twins and enjoy traveling and spending time with my family.
I look forward to another outstanding school year with all our Grizzlies!
Tiffany Snyder
Assistant Principal
With eighteen years of experience as an educator in the CCSD, I have been dedicated to fostering positive school cultures, implementing effective teaching strategies, and supporting students in their academic and social development. I hold a Master’s Degree in Education Policy and Leadership from UNLV, a Master’s Degree in Arts in Teaching in Elementary Education from Sierra Nevada College, and a Bachelor's Degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Texas Tech University. I am happily married to my husband of 19 years, and we have two wonderful children who both attended Givens ES. Our son, Mason, is now pursuing his golf career at Loyola Marymount University, while our daughter, Madison, attends Palo Verde HS and is a level 10 gymnast. They both keep me busy, but in my free time, I enjoy hiking, traveling, attending Vegas Golden Knights games, and spending time with my family. I am thrilled to step into the role of Assistant Principal at the school I have called home for over a decade. I look forward to a fabulous school year! Let’s Go, Grizzlies!
